Midori Von Bargen has always been a visionary- an entrepreneur at heart with a passion for changing the world. A graduate of business school, she has spent her career blending strategic thinking with a deep commitment to health, wellness, and innovation. Her journey to creating Lomi wasn't just about business- it was personal. After going through her own health transformation, Midori became passionate about finding better alternatives to traditional alcohol. Frustrated by the lack of options that aligned with both wellness and social enjoyment, she set out to create a solution: a delicious, mindful, and health-conscious alcohol alternative that brings people together without compromise. Beyond leading a beverage revolution, Midori is dedicated to empowering women to chase their dreams, break barriers, and build their own paths in entrepreneurship. As a minority business owner, she believes in fostering inclusivity, community, and meaningful change. Midori is creating a movement where wellness, celebration, and empowerment go hand in hand.

Taylor Kephart
With over 20 years behind the bar, Taylor worked in every corner of the industry—from distilleries to fine dining restaurants to breweries. He played a role in shaping the bar scene, contributing to cocktail programs and refining the craft of hospitality. However, the demanding lifestyle took its toll, leading him to seek a healthier alternative. That journey introduced Taylor to kava, which supported his transition away from alcohol while allowing him to continue creating meaningful social experiences. As an African American man in an industry where representation is scarce, he had to work harder to establish himself and earn his place. Now, Taylor is proud to have helped create a beverage that is inclusive for all, offering a space where people can gather, connect, and enjoy a healthier alternative. The bar and restaurant industry can often encourage unhealthy habits, but with kava, Lomi is redefining what it means to share a drink.
